Senior Client Security Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Client Security Engineer, who we believe should have at least 8 years of experience, with most of that time spent working with Windows and tools for productivity and security (e.g. O365, AD, SCCM, AV, DLP, bitlocker, etc.). If hired, you will have ownership of deploying these tools in customer environments, or improving the deployed ones. The candidate must be highly technical and able to craft solutions, and be good with user communication and user relations.   An engineering mindset is required, this is NOT a helpdesk or basic desktop support position.

Job Responsibilities:

•  Windows client engineering. Initially you will pick up already deployed tools like AV, SCCM and O365, going forward you will take ownership of customer projects for these areas as well as DLP, Bitlocker, MDM, etc. with the end goal of making end points safe and secure for our customers.
• 50% of your time will be spread over new projects and deployments
• 30% of your time will be spent administering existing tools deployed at various customer sites, resolving issues and working collaboratively with other team members 
• The rest of the time will be devoted to work planning, coordinating with geographically dispersed teams and exchanging communications with the end customer

 Required Skills:

•  Microsoft knowledge: In depth understanding of Active Directory and how to use it effectively to automate and secure endpoints e.g. GPOs used to manage desktops as well as user behavior, how DNS/ DHCP affects day to day operations. In addition, ability to use SCCM to patch, provision and manage configurations of clients will be necessary
• Productivity apps knowledge: Understanding of various O365 components (email, onedrive) or similar solutions for productivity e.g., and how such solutions integrate with the rest of the enterprise including printing, single sign on, network security, etc.
• Client securityExperience implementing disk or folder encryption, anti-virus scanners, data loss prevention (DLP) and mobile device management (MDM) products is highly desirable.
• Breadth:A strong plus will be breadth of experience i.e. you have enough understanding of desktop and mobile hardware internals, Wi-fi, VOIP, VPN, backups, etc. areas to be able to approach projects and troubleshooting tasks with proper perspective.
