Senior Network Engineer

Looking for a Senior Network Engineer (L3) with 8+ years of experience. Responsible for the day-to-day administration, troubleshooting and oversight of all network infrastructure/services. This is a technical role, which requires strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Should be an excellent communicator with good written and verbal abilities. The ideal candidate would have the opportunity to participate in various Network and Security product deployment projects, along with day-to-day operations/support. Should thrive in a mid-size, fast-paced company working with global teams. Strong customer-focus skills with ability to recognize customer requirements, assist customers in achieving their goals, manage customer expectations and consistently achieve high satisfaction.

Required Technical Skills:

    • Experience working on Datacenter and Corporate network environments.
    • Minimum 3 years hands-on expertise in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including: Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Wireless, and network monitoring tools.
    • Must be proficient working with various hardware vendor including Cisco (IOS, IOSXE, NXOS), Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, FortiGate, SonicWall, Aruba, Meraki.
    • Have functional knowledge of Load Balancers (F5, A10) and WAN Optimization (Riverbed, WAAS).
    • Knowledgeable in TCP/IP stack; application and network infrastructure protocols (SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP, WINS, NTP, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, CIFS, LDAP, HSRP, VRRP, 802.1x, etc…).
    • Proficient in private and public WAN technologies (MPLS, VPLS, DIA, VPN).
    • Strong understanding and comprehensive hands on experience with EIGRP, OSPF and BGP.

 Job Responsibilities:

    • Co-ordinate with application owners as well as infrastructure teams like monitoring, backup, windows and Linux to ensure proper functioning of the setup.
    • Understand the unstructured work, come up with a plan, review it with needed parties and implement it.
    • Install, configure and manage network infrastructure devices (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers and AP's, SSL VPN, WAN compression, etc.).
    • Maintain and ensure the reliability and performance of LAN, WAN, and VPN components and technologies across our customers.
    • Respond, troubleshoot, identify root cause and remediate issues in a complete, documented and timely manner.
    • Maintain network equipment for worldwide sites. Replace hardware (working with on-site resources), resolve technical issues and manage support with manufacturers and ISPs.
    • Maintain and ensure that backups of all configurations are done on a routine and consistent basis, keep firmware up-to-date.
    • Ensure that appropriate monitoring, alerting and logging mechanisms are in place and functioning optimally all the time.
    • Create, maintain and ensure the accuracy of all documentation related to network hardware, software, configurations and processes.
    • Ensure compliance and provide evidence as required for regulatory audits (e.g. SOX).
    • Provide support to on-shift team for network systems as required.
